Drug Bust: Prescription Narcotics, Marijuana | Eastern North Carolina Now

    On January 23, 2014, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Jonathan Dale Walker, age 20, of 120 Cypress Shores Road in Washington and Kerry Trevor Lupton, age 70, of 302 Barnes Drive in Chocowinity. Investigators in the Drug Unit received an anonymous tip that Lupton was travelling to Washington to sell his prescription medication. Investigators conducted surveillance and Lupton led investigators to Walker’s residence at 120 Cypress Shores Road. Investigators executed a search warrant on the residence and seized 85 dosage units of Alprazolam (Schedule IV Controlled Substance), marijuana, digital scales and marijuana smoking pipes.



    Jonathan Dale Walker was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Maintaining a Dwelling to Facilitate Drug Activity, Possession of Less than ½ Ounce of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Kerry Lupton was arrested and charged with Sell and Deliver Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule IV Controlled Substance and Maintain a Vehicle to Facilitate Drug Activity. Both Walker and Lupton were confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.
