Candidates facing primary challenges in N.C. Senate, N.C. House of Representatives, county commissioner and Beaufort County sheriff's races have been invited to Beaufort County Community College to meet with President Barbara Tansey to learn about issues facing the college in the coming year. They also have the chance to tour the campus and meet with faculty and staff.

Pictured above, at left, Dr. Tansey and Arts and Sciences Dean Dixon Boyles talk with Senate candidate Stan White, commissioner candidates Keith Kidwell and Frankie Waters and sheriff's candidate Todd Alligood about the college's new mathematics lab and new collaborative techniques for teaching during a recent visit. They were accompanied by college administration and staff members. Other candidates for office have been invited to visit the campus in the coming weeks.

Beaufort County Community College is a public comprehensive community college committed to accessible and affordable quality education, effective teaching, relevant training, and lifelong learning opportunities for the people served by the College.
