News Release:

Raleigh, N.C.     Governor Pat McCrory attended the ribbon cutting of a new Dex Heavy Duty Parts Facility in Advance, North Carolina today.

“Dex chose North Carolina, in part, because of our skilled workforce and the quality of our community colleges," Governor McCrory said. “Along with bringing jobs, Dex’s move speaks to our state’s appeal as a place where businesses can grow and prosper.”

Dex, one of the leading suppliers of recycled, renovated and surplus heavy duty truck parts, is a member of the Volvo Group and recently moved its operation from Floyd, V.A. to Advance, N.C. Dex chose the new Davie County location because it provides better road infrastructure and access to an educated workforce. It also gave Dex the ability to recycle an existing textile manufacturing plant to a new life.

Dex created 38 new jobs in Advance and has plans to grow substantially. Dex will be working with the local community college to develop training modules for the operation.
