Dr. Sulochana Cherukuri, a board certified internal medicine physician, joined the Leo Jenkins Cancer Center located at 600 Moye Boulevard in Greenville on July 1.

    GREENVILLE — Dr. Sulochana Cherukuri, a board certified internal medicine physician, joined the Leo Jenkins Cancer Center located at 600 Moye Boulevard in Greenville on July 1.

    Dr. Cherukuri is a graduate of N.T.R. University of Health Sciences in India. She completed an internal medicine residency at the University of South Carolina and worked as a hospitalist at Vidant Medical Center.

    Her areas of interest include lung cancer, thymic malignancy, mesothelioma, and esophageal cancer. "I am excited to be a part of the Hematology/Oncology fellowship program and the Leo Jenkins Cancer Center," Dr. Cherukuri said. "I look forward to joining the team and providing excellent care to eastern North Carolina."

    Dr. Cherukuri joins Drs. Prashanti Atluri, Charles Knupp, Pamela Lepera, Darla Liles, Paul Walker, and Mahvish Muzaffer, and two physician assistants, Peter Boettger and Punam Javia. To schedule an appointment call 252-744-1888.
