Karen's Korner - January, 2016 | Eastern North Carolina Now

Karen Kozel, founder and coordinator of the ENC Tea Party, offers a message to start the new year.

ENCNow
Hello! I am Karen Kozel. I co-founded the Eastern North Carolina Tea Party (ENC Tea Party) in 2009. Never before have I seen our country in a bigger need for its citizens to pro-actively campaign for the most honest and Conservative candidates. Our political system and moral codes are in shambles. Holidays are over and we need all hands on deck to elect some of these Conservative guys and gals who are running for local, state, and federal office.

Please put a campaign magnet on your cars, put a sign in your yard, wear a button to the grocery store, educate friends at work, call your siblings and talk to your kiddos about what a good candidate stands for.

By the way, a good candidate is not one who threatens to put limits on the Second Amendment or ignores the fact that that we are in a war with Terrorists. A good candidate recognizes that we have a serious immigration problem and a problem with government spending. An excellent candidate never votes for taxes to fund Planned Parenthood for any reason!

Many of the currant occupants in office seem bored and confused at best and several appear anti-American. That is, they have willingly abandoned the principles that have traditionally and historically defined the United States and seem intent on transforming this great nation.

I encourage you to come to our monthly ENC Tea Party meetings to hear from the candidates, learn what they are made of and what their convictions are, find out why they are running, and what they plan to do if they are elected, as well as to socialize with old and new friends, and most of all, to learn about issues that impact every one of us from those who have studied and are willing to teach us each month. Come get free resources from us for many of the candidates. Our meetings are a place to make friends, to re-energize, and to become educated and informed - the hallmarks of our civic duty to responsibly maintain our republic for our children and grandchildren.

Bring your friends and family! Our meetings are certainly appropriate for anyone 13 years old and up. We can do this. People who put their heads and hands together can do great things. God has a marvelous plan and we are praying that it includes real Hope and Change!!

The ENC Tea Party meets the second Thursday of each month at LaRibera Mexican Restaurant (658 E Arlington Blvd. Greenville NC 27585). The restaurant, which is located at the corner of Arlington Blvd and Red Banks Rd, and is in the Arlington Village, has a private back room which gives us an excellent opportunity to gather together. We meet between 5:30 - 6:00 pm to eat and socialize. The meetings begin at 6:30 pm.

We are active on social media, with two facebook sites [Eastern North Carolina Tea Party and Eastern NC Tea Party (of Pitt County ] and a new website with an interactive calendar [www.encteaparty.com] Check them out !!

Happy 2016! Join us! And help us to please spread the word that the TEA PARTY is NOT DEAD !!

Considering the fact that the Democrat Mainstream media has taken a "hands-off" policy in regards to Democrat scandals for the purpose of providing cover to a Democrat Department of Justice's choices to not pursue criminal indictments on proved Democrat criminal behavior: Is there a double standard for the Democrat Mainstream media?
