"Save the Day": "Thanks Famous Actors" | Eastern North Carolina Now

Oh boy, this is funny stuff. I have long gotten a kick out of pinpoint sarcasm, articulate parody, especially where the butt of this satirical exercise is stupidity. Stupidity - it is a measurable commodity: Who was right, who was wrong, but more importantly; just, who did not think it through?

The latter is the impression that I get when I watch grown actors getting political as a way to fit in, be sociable, seeking acceptance. It is their God given right to be that way ... it is also my God given right to find them funny; and, moreover, the excellent parody below makes great fun of these self-important privileged few, who, most of them, do one thing really well. It is sad when these political neophytes endeavor to transfer their one talent to something more complicated than they can fully understand, believing that their celebrity will make the difference, push them over the top in the world of making a difference.

    It does not.

Do you remember the "Save the Day" get out the vote for Hillary chopped-message extravaganza with so many "socially involved" Hollywood actors?    Be sure to watch the parody below.

Now, how about this one with more regular people?

Funny ... am I right? I find this the essence of fine humor, and directed at the perfect people for all the right reasons.

Considering that Hillary Clinton, from the recently concluded email investigation, is charged with gross negligence, dereliction of duty, was recommended that she lose her security clearance, while pathologically lying to congress, the press and the American People; and even though she was not referred for indictment because she is a Clinton: Will you?
12.84%   Vote for Hillary
76.65%   Vote for The Donald

What should be the priority of the Federal Government after the "Pulse" massacre: Should we turn our attention toward destroying, earadicating ISIS as Candidate Trump suggests, or, as Democrats' President Obama suggests, broaden our efforts to effect stricter Gun Control laws to limit "Gun Violence?"
83.78%   After many years of trying to degrade and contain the murderous ISIS, we should make it the nation's policy to destroy ISIS immediately.
6.08%   Gun Violence in America can be eliminated by limiting access to guns for all American citizens.
10.14%   I don't care either way; I just live here.

poll#94
Should Americans be thankful for North Carolinians setting precedent in taking a stand for their state's right to manage the safety of their public facilities, where separation of the sexes remains, or should they follow Bruce Springsteen's lead and boycott the state as bigots since they will not allow grown Transgender men to use the same bathrooms /locker rooms as pre-pubescent girls?
North Carolina is right to control the separation of the sexes as a matter of decorum and safety.
North Carolina is a bigoted state to not require that children of opposite sexes share the same public facilities with adults of the opposite sex, although misidentified - the Transgender.
I generally prefer the natural environs of the vacant, although rather public, large tree.

Bobby Tony, that is true essence my fine man.

That is the core of the argument, debate over.

Maybe it takes a warped sense of humor in today's World to see so clearly. Thanks again for your continual clarity.

It is interesting that some people will follow the advice of people who make their living creating a fantasy world. It takes talent to reflect the depth of your caring when you are speaking lines written by someone else and using all the tricks of the trade, you learned to make you a star.

It is also interesting that I did not recognize any of the people in the second parody version of save the day. But, they all apparently had the same talent and presentation qualities as the famous actors.

My point being that we should not be swayed by the persona and performance but by the content of what they say. Thanks for the side by side, or top and bottom comparison, it fits right in with my warped sense of humor.
