    Arthur "Wayne" Toler, age 69, a resident of the Kennel Beach Community of Grantsboro, NC died Sunday April 28, 2019 at Carolina East Medical Center of New Bern.

    A funeral service will be held 3:00 P.M. Tuesday April 30, 2019 at Warren Chapel United Methodist Church in Blounts Creek. The service will be officiated by Rev. Betty Jo Rodgers. Burial will follow in Warren Memorial Cemetery. Brian Warren, Bobby Brinn, Harvey Howard, Andy Dupree, Tommy King and Mike Jones will serve as pallbearers.

    The family will receive friends 2:00 P.M. until the funeral hour Tuesday at the church.

    Wayne was born in Beaufort County on November 30, 1949 son of the late Arthur Harold Toler and the late Mable Aurelia Flowers Toler. He attended Aurora High School and worked as a heavy equipment operator. On March 20, 1993 he married the former Mary Carolyn Harris who survives. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 496 and was a founding member of Blounts Creek Volunteer Fire Department. Wayne's number one priority was his family whom he dearly loved.

    Surviving along with Wayne's wife Mary of the home are two daughters: Roxann Lovell and her husband Jonathan of Raleigh and Carolyn Deal-Howard and her husband Harvey of Kinston; three sisters: Phyllis T. Warren and her husband Russell of Blounts Creek, Gayle T. Wilson and her husband Jerry of Washington and Dawn T. Thomas and her husband Larry of Washington; three grandchildren: Ashley, Jacob and Ava and two great grandchildren: Paula and Layla. Wayne was predeceased by his parents and his twin brother: Harold Dwayne Toler.
