    Mrs. Angela Darlene Fridley Cullifer, age 74, a resident of Pinetown, NC died Friday May 10, 2019 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro.

    A graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday May 13, 2019 at the Cullifer Family Cemetery located on Free Union Church Road, Pinetown. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

    Mrs. Cullifer was born in Missouri on January 8, 1945 daughter of the late Harry Virgil Fridley and the late Ann Marie Woodson Fridley. She was a graduate of Covington High School in Covington, VA and continued her education and received her associate degree in business. On September 13, 1983 she married Ernest "Wade" Cullifer who preceded her in death on June 2, 2016. She worked as a credit manager with Dominion Power where she took an early retirement. Later she and her husband owned and operated A & W General Contractors, Inc. in Yorktown, VA. To pursue her passion for animals she established her own pet sitting and grooming business, Pet Sitters, Inc., also in Yorktown. After moving to her husband's native Beaufort County, she volunteered with the Beaufort County Humane Society. Mrs. Cullifer was of the Catholic faith.

    Survivors include her daughter: Michelle "Shelly" Griffin-Morris of Pantego and four grandchildren: Meghan A. Morris, Logan B. Morris, Gracie E. Morris and SadieLeigh A. Spencer.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions be made to Beaufort County Humane Society, P.O. Box 33, Washington, NC 27889.
