   Goldman wins another significant straw poll

    Cary, North Carolina     Candidate for State Auditor and Wake County Board of Education member Debra Goldman placed first in a five-way straw poll held at the 6th District Republican Party convention on April 10th.

    "Winning such a significant straw poll in the 6th district clearly shows that our message of conservative leadership and government reform is gaining traction," said the Goldman campaign.

    Straw polls provide dialogue among movements within large groups. Winning straw polls is often seen as a clear indicator of support among the grassroots activists in the Republican primary electorate.

    The order of candidates winning the most votes is as follows:

    1. Debra Goldman - Wake County School Board Member (R-Wake County)
    2. Fern Shubert - Ex-State Senator (R-Union County)
    3. Greg Dority - Frequent Candidate, (R-Beaufort County)
    4. Rudy Wright - Hickory Mayor (R-Catawba County)
    5. Joseph Hank DeBragga - Ex-Hospital CFO (R-Wake County)

    Debra Goldman's record of public service includes service as a nationally certified volunteer firefighter, and two-term Vice Chairman of the Wake County Board of Education. Throughout all of her experiences, she has been a staunch advocate for fiscal conservatism and government accountability.
