Warren Calls Sanders a Liar on Female President Line | Eastern North Carolina Now

Sanders denied he said it. Then Warren went in for the kill.

According to CNN in December of last year Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) told his rival for the affections of the hard left Dem primary vote, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass), that a woman could not win the 2020 race for the White House.

Ah, those old socialists. Just not woke enough.

Sanders responded in a recent statement to Fox News, "It is ludicrous to believe that at the same meeting where Elizabeth Warren told me she was going to run for president, I would tell her that a woman couldn't win. It's sad that, three weeks before the Iowa caucus and a year after that private conversation, staff who weren't in the room are lying about what happened."

Warren subtly countered on Sunday, "I was disappointed to hear that Bernie is sending his volunteers out to trash me. Bernie knows me and has known me for a long time. He knows who I am, where I come from, what I have worked on and fought for."

But on Monday she went for broke, "Among the topics that came up was what would happen if Democrats nominated a female candidate. I thought a woman could win; he disagreed."

Yes, she just called him a liar in front of all of America.

Nice touch Liz. Give him a waiver so he takes the bait and then snap the trap when he nibbles.

What Sanders probably intended by the line (I spent years as a political consultant telling reporters, "What my client meant to say was...") was that President Trump would use her radical feminism against her. Which, he will. But after that coherent thought was mangled in the Sanders brain it likely came out as "Orange man no like squaw princess. Will be mean to her, as will public."
