Chairman Mao must be looking up from below smiling about the Pitt County Commissioners voting 7 to 2 to join a reboot of his "Cultural Revolution" or as some call it, the War on History. The cultural revolution has nothing to do with promoting culture and everything to do with destroying it. The seven outright Maoists on the Pitt County Commission also thumbed their nose at state law protecting monuments when they voted to take down the monument at the court house to Pitt County's Confederate dead.

A national poll recently showed that by a 12 point margin, Americans believe that Confederate monuments should stay up, and the numbers are even higher here in the South.

In contrast to the sleazy combination of Maoists and cowards on the Pitt County Commission, France's President Macron vowed that France will protect its history and not take down a single monument demanded by the Marxist BLM and ANTIFA. It is unusual that France has more backbone than America, but such it the case now
