Narcotics Contraband Ingested in Great Quantity by User / Dealer

   On June 6, 2012, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit conducted a controlled purchase of cocaine in the City Washington. During the controlled purchase Investigators witnessed a drug transaction occur between an unknown black male and Keith Maurice Small, black male, age 33 of 315 West 15th Street in Washington.

   Investigators approached Small while he was sitting in a GMC Yukon SUV located on Van Norden Street near Fifth Street. When Investigators approached, they saw Small shove plastic bags of suspected illegal drugs into his mouth. Investigators attempted to detain Small. Small resisted, tried to escape and fought with Investigators while inside his vehicle. When Investigators gained control of Small they realized he was having trouble breathing. Investigators immediately requested Washington Emergency Medical Services to respond to the scene. While Investigators waited for Washington Emergency Medical Services to arrive Investigators removed a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana from Small’s throat and attempted the Heimlich Maneuver and chest compressions on Small in an effort to render first aid.2 Emergency Medical Services arrived and removed a plastic baggie containing multiple smaller plastic bags containing suspected cocaine from Small’s throat. Small was immediately transported to the Beaufort County Hospital to be treated.

On Monday, January 11, 2021 at about 1:45 pm the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a shooting in the parking lot of Slatestone Grocery at 2040 Slatestone Rd, Washington NC.
Within the past 2 months Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit have arrested 20 people involved in the use and distribution of a controlled substance.
On 10/22/2020, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Adrian Dixon, 43 years of age, of 1478 Bonnerton Road in Aurora.
On Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 1:29 am the Beaufort County Emergency Communications Center received multiple 911 calls reporting an assault and shooting at 350 Fischer Village Rd, in Aurora.
At approximately 7:55 pm on Monday, September 22, 2020 officers with the Washington Police Department responded to CVS Pharmacy in reference to a reported armed robbery that had just occurred.
On 9/04/2020, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit and the Washington Police Department arrested Jasheem Butler, 33 years of age, of 817 W. 2 nd Street in Washington.
On 8/14/2020, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Wilbert Oneal Jr., 37 years of age, of 361 NC Hwy. 99 N. in Pantego.

On 7/09/2020, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Cecil Peed, 30 years of age, of 50 Yonkers Drive in Washington.

For the second time in less than a month the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office needs your help in locating 14 yr. old Jordan Gibbs.
The additional incidents occurred in the 100 block of Harvey Street and the 300 block of E. Main Street.
On Monday morning, July 6, 2020 at approximately 05:55 hours, officers with the Washington Police Department responded to the 900 block of N. Respess Street for a report of an individual who had been shot.
On Tuesday morning, July 14, 2020 at approximately 05:20 hours, officers with the Washington Police Department responded to the 400 block of E. Water Street in reference to a report of an individual assaulted.
On July 6, 2020 at approximately 3:00 am, the Washington Police Department responded to a shooting incident in the 900 block of North Respess Street.
On 7/07/2020, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Tyler Woolard, 28 years of age, of 3723 Harvey Road in Washington.
On 7/07/2020, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Cameron Merritt, 24 years of age, of 144 Johnny Whaley Lane in Beulaville and Brandi Howard, 24 years of age, of 2051 Lightwood Bridge Road in Wallace.

On July 3 rd , 2020 at about 9:30 pm, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a shooting which resulted in an injured male in the Mimosa Shores Road area of Washington.
Jordan Gibbs was located yesterday at 5:00 pm and has been returned to his family.
