School Board Votes 5-4 Against Real School Reopening | Eastern NC Now

    In countries like Sweden and Latvia and states like South Dakora, schools have never closed at all for the coronavius, and they have had no significant problems of infection among either students or staff. Many European cournties also reopened schools in May and have had no problems. An extensive study by medical researchers in the German state of Saxony found virtually no Covid spread in the schools after they reopened.

    Before the Swiss government reopened schools in early May, they made an extensive study which revealed that very low viral loads in children meant almost no risk of infection of either staff or other students. Their point was proven when they successfully reopened their schools without problems.

    The pediatricians organization has said there is more danger to children from lack of in person instruction than from the virus.

    Why then has the Beaufort County School Board betrayed parents by pushing back school reopening for 4 weeks in a 5-4 vote???.
