    January 12, 2022 - Publisher's note: Due to a publishing SNAFU, I have been remiss in my duties, here at BCN, regarding the proper categorization of county government publications; in particular, the Enhanced County Government Videos, begun August 1, 2019.

    Therefore, to thoroughly correct this miscue, I will make the proper categorical correction, and bring these archives forward beginning on January 12, 2022; mixing these historical patterns of fact in with the current news of our day. Some posts brought forward will not be video broadcasts, but most informative posts as to who and what you Beaufort County Commissioners are, and how they govern.

    On August 3, 2020, the Beaufort County Commissioners met in an open general meeting to discuss many issues, including solid waste. It is a multi-faceted issue, with many moving pieces, a true conundrum that has, and will exact a toll from our citizens in a continual cost to effect a responsible disposal of what we no longer have any use for.

Apologies are inorder for the sound quality, nonexistent as there was no aplification, when Commissioners Booth and Deatherage speak, for their microphones at their table were not engaged, and was not corrected by technical staff for nearly the entire meeting ... Ooops.

Beaufort County Commissioners Requested to Show Resolve for Oversight and Due Process to Protect Children and Families

Government and its bureaucracy are not perfect, and never has been in this self-governed society, here at the local level, at our state level, and at our federal level, therefore, it is incumbent upon all elected politicians to seek a comfortable level of representation for our constituents.
