    Mr. Preston Keith Turner, age 84, a resident of Washington, NC died Tuesday September 22, 2020 at Ridgewood Nursing Center in Washington.

    A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday September 25, 2020 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Pastor Doug Batchelor. Current Covid restrictions as well as wearing masks and social distancing will be followed.

    Mr. Turner was born in Wilson County on October 1, 1935, son of the late Harry Franklin Turner and the late Rachel Holloman Turner. He attended Lucama High School. After moving to Washington, he established and was owner/operator of Turner Pest Control. He loved restoring old cars and was a member of the Coastal Plains Chapter Antique Car Club and Antique Automobiles of America. He also loved spending time in the mountains.

    Survivors include his children: Ronnie Turner and Cheryl Lynn T. Jones both of Washington; brothers: Harold Turner of Freemont, Millard Turner of Columbus, GA, Wayne Turner (Diane) of Black Creek and Don Turner (Trudy) of Macclesfield; sisters: Marie Johnson of Lucama and Lib Bardin of Wilson; a granddaughter: Lyndsay Hopkins (Ara) of Charleston, West Virginia and a very dear friend: Tim Stike of Fleetwood. Mr. Turner was predeceased along with his parents by a son: Timmy Turner; a son-in-law: Robert Marshall Jones and brothers: Doug, Russell and Paul Turner.

    The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Cheryl Lynn, located at 30 Duckview Trail, Washington.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association, Eastern NC Chapter, 5171 Glenwood Ave., Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27612.

Preston Turner was a good man, who always exhibited supreme integrity in the performance of his duties. This just needs to be mentioned since I knew this good man.
