War on History - explorer Captain Cook is new BLM target | Eastern NC Now

 

 

The War on History continues and the latest historical figure attacked is British explorer Captain James Cook is a new target of the radical left BLM organization which wants monuments, museums, street names, and other mentions of him removed.  Cook charted most of Hawaii, Newfoundland, Australia, and New Zealand.

 

Just as BLM has attacked monuments to Abraham Lincoln who freed American slaves, they are also demanding monuments to British Prime Minister Earl Grey who led the abolition of slavery in the UK, be removed.  Other historic British figures attacked by BLM include Queen Victoria, Sir Francis Drake, who defeated the Spanish Armada. the Black Prince, who won the Hundred Years War for England, the Duke of Wellington, who won the Napoleanic Wars for the UK, and Sir Winston Churchill, British leader in World War II..
