Press Release:

    Our office is currently monitoring an approaching weather system that has the potential to bring periods of heavy rain and localized flash flooding to our area. The current forecast for Beaufort County is as follows:

    Rain

  • Beaufort County is forecasted to receive 2 to 3 inches of rain between 6am Thursday morning and sunset Friday evening.
  • Most areas of the county should experience the heaviest rains between 7pm Thursday night and sunrise Friday morning.

    Flooding

  • A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for Beaufort County.

    Please see the email below and attached briefing from the National Weather Service for more information.

    We encourage everyone to continue to monitor local media outlets for additional updates, watches and / or warnings.
