Operation Medicine Drop — April 24, 2021 | Eastern North Carolina Now

    The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office would like to invite you to bring your unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medicines to the Operation Medicine Drop event on April 24th. The event is being held at Lowe's on Carolina Ave in Washington from 10 AM–2 PM. By doing this, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Drug Unit can properly dispose of these medications. As a reminder, never throw medications in the trash or flush down the toilet. To ensure we are practicing social distancing and limited contact, you can pull up in your car to the drop off location and you can pass the medication to a Deputy and they will put it in the box for you.

On February 20, 2024, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office arrested James Earl Rodgers, Jessica Virgina Coffman, and Caitlyn Marie Wyatt on multiple drug charges.
On February18, 2024, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of possible human skeletal remains found in a wooded area near River Rd. in Washington.
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office has received nineteen reports of Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicles in the Washington area along the River Road corridor and US 264 West corridor since December 1, 2023.

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a fugitive from justice.
On January 26, 2024, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office along with K-9 Tinnus arrested Desmond Trieke Gorham on multiple drugs and weapons charges.

On August 26, 2023, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office arrested Andre Trell Hamilton age 41 of Aurora, NC.
On August 02, 2023, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 5833 Bonnerton Rd. in Edward, NC. As a result, Deputies seized over 100 grams of the powerful synthetic opioid known as fentanyl.
On July 13, 2023, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office concluded a two-month long drug investigation on Bobby Lee Moore Jr. Moore is 43 years of age and a lifelong resident of Aurora, NC.
On May 12, 2023, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Kyle Willis Bailey, 47 years of age, of Washington
On 04/13/2023, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit, Officers with the Washington Police Department and Probation Officers conducted a search of Germaine Williams residence located at 829 Boston Avenue in Washington.
On 03/11/2023, Patrol Deputies assigned to the Aurora area served arrest warrants on Anthony Bragg, 32 years of age, of 1824 Bay City Road in Aurora.
On 02/7/2023, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Shaquel Collins, 29 years of age, of 113 Days Inn in Washington.
On 01/27/2023, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Robert Smith, 32 years of age, of 2081 Chandler Road in Chocowinity and Danielle Baker Smith, 30 years of age of 2081 Chandler Road in Chocowinity.

On 12/16/2022, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Robert Smith aka Robin Hood, 32 years of age, of 543 Old Mill Road in Chocowinity.
On 12/14/2022, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Amanda Dare Alligood, 42 years of age, of 1591 E. Barr Road in Chocowinity.
On 12/8/2022, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit, Detectives with the Washington Police Department and Detectives with the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jose Louis Jimenez Ramirez, 34 years of age, of 1362 Whichard Cherry Lane Road in Greenville.
On 10/7/2022, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit and Detectives with the Washington Police Department arrested Kashon Moore, 27 years of age, of 193 Yonkers Drive in Washington.
