Senate Conservatives Fund Endorses Ted Budd for US Senate | Eastern NC Now

    Advance, NC     Ted Budd today welcomed the support of the Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF) in his campaign for the US Senate. SCF is a national grassroots organization that seeks to bring bold conservative leadership to Washington by supporting candidates who will fight for the timeless conservative principles of limited government, strong national defense, and traditional family values. SCF announced their endorsement of Ted Budd this past weekend.

    SCF called for "conservatives to unite behind strong, principled leaders like Ted Budd," noting that "Ted is a conservative outsider" with "a record of standing up to the liberals in both parties."

    "While there are four Republican candidates, there are only two conservatives and I am honored that, after carefully reviewing the two conservatives, Senate Conservatives Fund has endorsed my campaign to be the next US Senator from North Carolina," said Ted Budd. "Here in ACC Country, we can all appreciate a point guard who's good at faking right then going left, but that's not what North Carolinians want in a US Senator. Our working families deserve a Senator who won't waver in a fight and I'm glad that SCF recognizes I'm that kind of person."

    Earlier this month, Congressman Dan Bishop (R, NC-09) from Charlotte (where, incidentally, one of the other Republican candidates started his political career more than three decades ago) endorsed Ted Budd for US Senate noting that "Ted Budd is a true conservative and solid as a rock. He's humble, principled, loyal, and unafraid to stand up for working families. North Carolinians can rely on Ted Budd."

    SCF was founded by former US Senator Jim DeMint. SCF members live in every state and come from all walks of life. They love America and don't want to see liberal policies destroy it. SCF members know that change in Washington means changing the people we send there, and they know that they must work with other conservatives across the nation to accomplish this goal.

    Ted Budd is a small businessman raised in Davie County where he and his wife, Amy Kate, live today with their three children and Boone, their dog. Ted was elected to Congress along with President Donald Trump in 2016 and has established a strong, conservative record supporting efforts to secure our borders and stand up for America-First policies that protect American jobs and increase opportunities for working men and women across North Carolina. Ted has spent his career as a small businessman and presently owns and operates a gun store and training center.
