Border walls work | Eastern NC Now

 

Lithuania is the latest county to announce it will build a border wall to stop migrants entering the country.  They have recently been plagued with hundreds of Middle eastern migrants entering from neighboring Belarus, and Lithuania has accused Belarus of deliberately transporting the migrants to the border.  Lithuania has also announced it is beefing up its border guard force.

 

Neighboring Latvia has already built a wall on its border with Russia to stop migrants.  Other European countries noted for building border walls to stop migrants include Hungary, Macedonia, and Bulgaria.
