Mass protests against vaccine passports continue around the world | Beaufort County Now | major protests in Australia, Canada, France, elsewhere in Europe

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

Chanting and carrying signs with slogans like "Freedom", "Liberty", and "I will not submit", mass protests continued around the world last weekend against lockdowns and vaccine passports.  And like previous protests, the biased establishment media largely ignored them because they went against the left's narrative.

In Canada, mass protests in Vancouver, Toronto, and other cities coincided with the final weeks of the country's parliamentary election campaign where polls show the opposition Conservatives widening their poll lead over the governing Liberals. "I believe that the reason for vaccine passports is simply to introduce a surveillance state and much more social control" declared retired University of Toronto professor David McLelland.

In France, Interior Ministry accounts, which are usually on the low side for anti-government protests, said 140,000 people participated this weekend.  Leader of the Patriot movement against the vaccine passports, Florian Phillippot, told French media that his organization was considering calling a general strike to continue until the vaccine passports were repealed.  To this point, for the last two months, mass protests have been confined to the weekends.
