The run of GOP special election victories in supposed safe Democrat legislative seats around the country just notched another victory, and these wins are an omen for 2022.

State House District 29 in Jasper County, Iowa has been in Democrat hands for 46 years, but on Tuesday, it fell to the GOP in a landslide.  Reverend Jon Dunwell won the seat for the Republicans with 60% of the vote.
