McCrory PAC smears Ted Budd in mass mailing | Eastern NC Now

with bogus attempt to tie him to Soros

ENCNow

A Washington, DC based political super-PAC that is supporting failed RINO former Governor Pat McCrory for the US Senate has mass mailed a postcard smearing conservative Trump-endorsed Senate candidate Congressman Ted Budd.  The smear asserts false ties to George Soros.

Their bogus attacks on not based on any political connections whatsoever.  They are based on financial investments Soros made years ago in a large national company that bought and absorbed one of Budd's FATHER's companies.  Ted Budd was quite young at the time and his only connection with the company was briefly holding a low level job there.  He was an insignificant worker bee, not an executive or board member.

This is the sort of bogus political attack that makes politics so dirty.

The group putting out this smear calls itself the "Carolina Senate Fund" and makes no bones on its website about the fact that it supports McCrory.  It appears to be too new to have any info yet on the sites that track who funds these groups.

This is yet another reason NOT to vote for McCrory for US Senate.

The big irony here is that not only is there absolutely no political tie between Budd and Soros, there IS such a political tie between McCrory and Soros.  It is this.  One of McCrory's major political consultants is a guy named Paul Shumaker, who was also major consultant for Thom Tillis and Richard Burr.  Shumaker and his sometime sidekick Dee Stewart were paid very large sums of money by Soros-linked national environmental extremist groups to push green new deal type policies in the NC General Assembly.  So McCrory shares a political consultant with Tillis, Burr, and Soros.  Now THAT should be a campaign issue.  And it is not many years ago but recently.

Never McCrory! He is simply too tight with "woke" corporations. He worked for years in a high level PR job with "woke" Duke Energy and as governor listened to them instead of the Republican voters and activists. Pandering to the "woke" corporations is why McCrory backstabbed Republicans when he flip-flopped and supported repeal of the bathroom privacy legislation, HB2. If McCrory is the GOP nominee, I will not be voting at all in the Senate race as I will have nobody worth voting for. I would actively support either of the other two major GOP candidates for Senate, but Pat McCrory is a bridge too far.
