Nancy Warda Wagner | Eastern NC Now

    Nancy Warda Wagner, age 83, a resident of Cypress Landing, Chocowinity, NC, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 16, 2012, at Ridgewood Manor in Washington, NC.

    A private memorial service will be held in Rochester, New York at a later date.

    Mrs. Wagner was born in West Haven, Connecticut on February 21, 1929, the daughter of the late Frank Ruthven and Nellie Ginsburgh Ruthven. She grew up in Rochester, New York and spent many wonderful years on the Finger Lakes in upstate New York. During her adult life Mrs. Wagner had made Coastal North Carolina her home.

    Survivors include her husband George C. Wagner of Chocowinity, NC; two sons, Mark Warda and wife Maria of Fairport, New York and Tom Warda of Rochester, New York; a daughter, Amy Warda and husband Robert Moran of Rochester, New York and three grandchildren, Ian, Sarah and Brandon.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to The American Heart Association, c/o 4217 Park Place CT, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060, or to a charity of one's choice.

    Pamlico Funeral and Cremation Service of Washington is serving the Wagner family.
