War on History: NYC removes Jefferson statue from council chambers | Eastern NC Now

America's version of Mao's Cultural Revolution

ENCNow

Thomas Jefferson, the author of the Declaration of Independence and the nation's third president, has been banished from New York City's council chambers.  The statue had stood there since 1833 but socialist Mayor DeBlasio engineered its removal as one of his last acts in office.

As governor of Virginia, Jefferson pushed hard for legislation to phase out slavery in the state, but was unsuccessful.  As a member of the Continental Congress after the Revolutionary War, he wrote the Northwest Ordinance governing the Northwest Territory (today's midwestern states) which was the first national legislation to ban slavery in any US territory.  Nonetheless, the far left likes to call Jefferson a "racist".

This War on History by the left ranging from BLM / ANTIFA to many Democrats and some RINOs (including Congressman Greg Murphy) is little more than an American version of Chairman Mao's "Cultural Revolution".
