News Release:

Washington, D.C.     Today, Vice President Kamala Harris and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg visit Charlotte, North Carolina, in a strange meeting of potential Biden successors in 2024.

Harris has been under fire recently for her failures as President Biden's appointed Border Czar. Currently, leading Senate candidates Jeff Jackson and Cheri Beasley have been completely silent about the crisis at our Southern Border which has led the Biden Administration to re-implement the Trump-era "stay in Mexico" policy.

Do Jackson and Beasley agree that Harris' leadership on the border has been a failure and that's why we must return to sensible policies that Harris and Biden campaigned against?

Moreover, it's clear that both Harris and Buttigieg are jockeying for position to be the heir apparent to President Biden. Who do Jackson and Beasley support as Biden's successor in 2024?

Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: "Joe Biden's poll numbers are cratering in North Carolina. Vice President Harris and Secretary Buttigieg's visit is a reminder not only of the Administration's ongoing failures in Washington and abroad but also at our Southern Border. Thus far, Jeff Jackson and Cheri Beasley have remained silent on these failures. With two of the most powerful members of Biden's cabinet in town, it's time for them to speak up."
