blasts prime minister's energy policy

ENCNow

A leading Conservative member of parliament and former cabinet minister, Sir John Redwood, has blasted Prime Minister Boris Johnson's energy plan as "self-inflicted harm on a huge scale".  Johnson is pushing the elimination of coal fired power stations and relying heavily on "green energy" largely wind farms, to replace it.  Redwood says that intermittent wind and solar, which fail when the wind is not blowing or the sun is not shining, cannot "keep the lights on."  Redwood also criticized the fact that relying on wind and solar greatly increase consumers' electric bills.

It is good to see leading Conservatives standing up to Johnson, who has lurched to the left after his longtime mistress Carrie Symonds, a globalist whose nickname in government is "Princess Nut-Nut", won a power struggle with Johnson's longtime chief adviser, Domminic Cummings, a small "c" conservative.  Johnson's party is now also under attack from the right from the new Reform Party which has reached double digits in the polls and calls Johnson's "net zero" policy "net stupid"

Here in North Carolina, we have had a cabal of RINOs in the legislature do the same thing Boris Johnson is doing on our electricity supply, and it will have the same result for our citizens - much more expensive and less dependable electricity.

Indeed. President Trump said Johnson was "making a big mistake" going with wind turbines when he was interviewed on British TV a few weeks ago. Trump called the notion that wind energy could power the economy "ridiculous". www.telegraph.co.uk
