Gamma Beta Phi, Beaufort County Community College's honor society, raised $1467 for Ruth's House, a local organization offering shelter to those fleeing domestic violence and offering counseling and court advocacy for those individuals.

The Marine Fabricators Association return on Wednesday, December 8 from 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. at 705 Page Rd. Washington, N.C. to present Beaufort County Community College's boatbuilding program with the final product of two boat "makeovers".
The first cohort of apprentices graduated from the Apprenticeship Beaufort County Program and PAS on Dec. 2, celebrated by their fellow employees and community partners, as well as Dr. Bruce Mack, VP of Economic Development for the NC Community College System.
North Carolina lawmakers included a new $100 million fund in the state budget to increase teacher pay supplements in low-wealth counties that are unable to match higher salaries in wealthier counties.
When not doing backflips, Garrett Lawless is helping his family flip houses. Always composed, Lawless balances his regional-level gymnastics competition with multiple business endeavors, as well as volunteer commitments.

The music industry has seen disruptions and upheavals over the last few decades as streaming has replaced both downloads and buying physical copies such as CDs, but through these changes, consumers still look to music journalists to direct them to new sounds.
The Beaufort County Community College Foundation dedicated its nursing simulation laboratory in honor of Glenn and Kathleen Simpson on November 1.

Beaufort County Community College will host college representatives from over 50 colleges on campus on Tuesday, October 19 from 6:30 p.m.-7:45 p.m. in the Boyette Conference Center in Building 10 to present information and answer questions.
Washington-native Dionne McGee will host a four-part series, Developing the Entrepreneurial Mindset, through the Small Business Center at Beaufort County Community College starting on October 5.
Enrollment at Beaufort County Community College has surged since the college announced its Beaufort Promise program to cover tuition and fees through 2023.
The Beaufort County Community College Foundation-Nutrien 27th Annual Invitational Golf Tournament for Scholarships enjoyed perfect weather at the Cypress Landing Golf Club on September 10.
