    Good Afternoon Everyone,

    You are receiving the attached message and email below from Beaufort County's EOC as a method of keeping you informed about our county's response to COVID-19.

    Beaufort County has had 94 new cases since last Friday (12/10).

    Vaccine Appointment Availability:

  • Beaufort County's Health Department also has appointments available beginning Monday 12/20 for individuals wishing to receive their 1st dose of the Moderna, J&J or Pfizer vaccines.
  • Appointments are also available on Monday 12/20 for Immunocompromised individuals eligible for a 3rd dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.
  • Appointments are available as early as Thursday 12/30 for individuals eligible for a Pfizer, Moderna and J&J booster shots.

On Jan. 19, 2022, the North Carolina Court of Appeals granted a request from two insurance providers to voluntarily dismiss appeals of their suit over contracts awarded for NC Medicaid Managed Care by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
Was it essential that my request of the NC DOJ be publicly reviewed to become a footnote in the public record, or does Commissioner Frankie Waters need an issue to secure a 3rd term as the Beaufort County's most nominal Republican?
The COVID-19 mass testing site at the Greensboro Coliseum will be staffed by a new federally supplied testing services provider beginning tomorrow, Jan. 22, in response to a recent request from North Carolina state officials to the Federal government.

The highly contagious Omicron variant of COVID-19 is sending record numbers of people to North Carolina hospitals, straining hospital capacity.
People who received their COVID-19 vaccine or booster in North Carolina from a pharmacy or grocery store participating in the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program are now able to access their COVID-19 vaccine information in the NC COVID-19 Vaccine Portal.
The rate of COVID-19 infections is once again disproportionately impacting Black and Hispanic North Carolinians.
