2021 Festivus report is out | Eastern NC Now
Federal govt waste of money
Your tax dollars hard at "work". Showing $52,598,515,585 of waste, including a study of pigeons gambling on slot machines, giving kids junk food, and telling citizens of Vietnam not to burn their trash. No matter how much money’s already been wasted, politicians keep demanding even more.

A lot of the problem is the way Congress has crammed all spending into one massive "must pass" bill. It is impossible to get a handle on all of this waste as a result. Weak GOP leadership of McConnell and McCarthy / Ryan / Boehner is a big part of this. McConnell even uses the process to get pork barrel for himself.
