French parliament rebuffs vaccine passport | Eastern NC Now

shock action is rebuff to Macron

ENCNow

The French National Assembly rebuffed President Macron's attempts to impose a full blown vaccine passport on the French people.  After Macron's comments about wanting to "piss off" the unvaccinated, opposition to the vaccine passport bill mushroomed, leading legislative leaders to pull it from consideration.  The bill could be dead until the parliament adjourns for the presidential election.

France has had ongoing mass public demonstrations against vaccine passports on a weekly basis for months.

Macron has already been fading in polls for the April presidential election, and these heavy handed moves are likely to cause his tanking to accelerate.
