Energy is most important issue in world and US gets it wrong | Eastern North Carolina Now

placating climate alarmists does not build affordable and reliable energy

ENCNow

The world's oldest weekly news magazine, The Spectator, published in the UK since 1828, recently ran an article entitled "Energy is the most important issue in the world" pointing out the dependence of civilization on affordable and reliable energy.  It called out the western world's politicians for ignoring affordable and reliable aspects of energy policy to appease the climate alarmist activists causing power prices to skyrocket while reliability of the grid plummets.

Here is the US, since it took office, the Biden regime has followed these same policies of appeasing the climate alarmist activists.  That is a major reason why gasoline and natural gas prices have skyrocketed.

In North Carolina, it is just as bad.  Our politicians, including both the far left like Governor Roy Cooper, and the establishment Republicans or RINOs like Speaker Tim Moore and Senate President Phil Berger have gone all out to push energy policy to appease the climate alarmists instead of backing affordable and reliable energy.  Their NC Green New Deal, HB951 is an abomination that will send our electric rates into the stratosphere in coming years, just as it has in other countries that have implemented those climate alarmist policies.

The immediate past President of the Czech Republic, Dr. Vaclav Klaus, summed it up well when he described climate alarmism as "a budding totalitarian ideology that is the biggest threat to freedom, democracy, and prosperity in the world today."  Green energy is a key component of Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum's totalitarian Great Reset.

Senator Tom Cotton has recently pointed out that Biden has put the US on the same disastrous energy path as Germany. www.breitbart.com
And in our own North Carolina, Governor Roy Cooper, Speaker Tim Moore, and Senate President Phil Berger are also taking us down the same disastrous energy path as Germany, and repudiating the America First Energy policies of President Trump. RINO Senator Jim Perry, who may end up as Beaufort County's Senator was part of the group in the legislature that engineered this embrace of Greta Thunburg and rejection of President Trump.
