Putin's female super-sniper captured by Ukrainians | Beaufort County Now | abandoned by Russian army after being wounded

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

Putin's 41 year old female super sniper, Irina Starakova, who goes by the nom-de-guerre Bagheera, has been captured by counteratttacking Ukrainian forces after she was abandoned by retreating Russian troops after being wounded.  Some of Starakova's 40 kills in the Ukraine invasion have been civilians, so she may be tried criminally in civilian court.

Meanwhile, a group of young students drafted into Putin's invasion force made a video in the back of an army truck on the way to the front that criticizes Putin's invasion.  The students-turned-soldiers complain that they were issued rifles made in the 1940s some of which do not even fire.  They urged those who saw the video to circulate it.  "We've been thrown into the sh_t" one says, as another complains "They're sending ordinary f__king students into war."  The video is embedded in the following article with translations:

Meanwhile, there are reports of Russian execution squads behind the lines to summarily execute deserters.  Ukraine's tally of Russian soldiers killed so far in the invasion is in excess of 17,000, while Russia admitted several days ago to almost 10,000 killed.  In comparison, the Soviets lost 15,000 killed in ten years of war in Afghanistan.
