Sen. Rand Paul calls for investigation of Russian financing of environmental groups | Eastern NC Now

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has called for a congressional investigation of Russian financing of US climate alarmist groups, and suggests a thorough investigation would cost $100 million.  Russia funnels money through shell companies it has created in Bermuda to the Sea Change Foundation, which then distributes it to the environmentalist groups, including some of the best known of them.  Bermuda does not require public disclosure of the country of origin of those funds which is why it is used for the pass through.

Among other things this means that many of the best known of the US environmentalist groups are actually functioning as foreign agents without registering as such.  This opens the organizations and their leaders up to potential criminal prosecution.

This is just one more needed investigation we can look forward to when the Republicans retake the Senate.
