France votes today as late surge helps LePen against Macron | Eastern NC Now

no mail in ballots, all paper ballots, hand counting, no drop boxes means honest count

UPDATE:  As expected, the runoff is between Macron and LePen.  The two parties that have dominated French politics for decades the Republicains (Gaullists) and Socialists, both finished in low single digits.  Both populist / nationalist parties ran significantly ahead of both.  Blue collar workers are the key to the runoff and LePen seems to be appealing to them.

France votes today for President in the first round, with a near certainty that the runoff will be between globalist incumbent president Macron of En Marche and populist / nationalist anti-immigration challenger Marine LePen of the National Rally  There are no mail-in ballots, and no drop boxes,  and all ballots will be paper ballots and hand counted.  Photo IDs will be required from voters. Party observers will be allowed to be present.  In other words, France will have a far more honest election than the US had in 2020.  Dominion is not involved.

Late polls show more movement in favor of LePen while Macron stagnates.  In particular, younger voters seem to be rallying to LePen.  Polls for the runoff suggest a close vote.  The last poll by major British polling firm YouGov shows 56% of voters between 18 and 24 backing LePen.
