Press Release:

My Senate District 1 race results are not finial as yet and assuming that I am still within 1% after the provisional ballots are counted, then I will ask for a recount. I am in contact with the County Boards of Election to ensure a fair and legal count has been made.

I may yet win this race although I am not overly optimistic. I am very grateful for all the help that has been granted to me in this Senatorial race. I am truly blessed to have such passionate and effective folks on my side.

Well, it looks like I lost the race by 388 votes out of 85 500, at this time. However all the provisional ballots have not been counted as yet (about 950) and they should be counted by November 16th. At that time if I am still less than 1% less than my opponent and I haven't won, I intend to ask for a re-count. Also I am having Jay Delancy of the Voter Integrity Project of NC look into whether there is any vote problems. He will need some help - Help with running some Excel spread sheets, talking with county Election Board folks and knocking on doors to verify voter information. If you can help in this research, please call me or send me an email. My cell number is (252) 295 8210.

I want to thank you for all your help with my election effort. I believe I have been privileged to have had some of the best folks in the state on my team. We all worked hard and I thank you for your effort. I could not have got as many votes as I did without your help. We may win yet but in any case I want you to know I feel truly blessed to have worked with you on this campaign.
