It's official - Tandy Dunn beats Dawn Slann in GOP Commission primary | Eastern NC Now

5 vote lead holds in recount

ENCNow

According to a source who was present, today's recount of the Republican primary for County Commission produced no changes.  Tandy Dunn's 5 vote victory over Dawn Slann for the third slot on the GOP general election ballot was confirmed.  There were no changes in any precinct count, and the county board of elections voted unanimously to certify the result.

The Republican ticket for the general election will be Stan Deatherage, Frankie Waters, and Tandy Dunn.  Deatherage and Dunn are conservatives and Waters is a liberal Republican. The Democrats only have one candidate, liberal incumbent Ed Booth.  Three seats are open.  Each voter only gets one vote, however.

Congratulations Tandy on winning the 3rd slot to win that third county commissioner seat. This may be the general election that rewards the honest, and despises the corrupt; so keep your Conservative Cloak snugged tight, and be willing to fight for the regular folks that are far too often forgotten.
