Washington taxpayers slammed with massive 5 cent tax increase | Eastern NC Now

Mayor Donald Sadler's war on taxpayers

ENCNow

The political machine of Mayor Donald Sadler with its three controlled seats on the Washington City Council rammed through a massive five cent tax increase on the city's taxpayers.  This comes at a time when residents are already suffering from the policies of the Biden administration with spiking inflation and high prices, and is nothing but colossal arrogance of an ego-driven and power-consumed mayor.

In the last election, Sadler muscled in a slate of three of his henchmen; Richard Brooks, Mike Renn, and William Pitt and they have all been his yes-men ever since.  Pitt is a particularly sad case, as for many years he has been a conscientious council member who paid attention to issues, listened to the public, and made up his own mind.  Since Pitt hooked up with the Sadler machine, however, he has had a Jekyll and Hyde conversion to a pathetic yes-man.

Taxpayers need to organize to take the city back from the Sadler machine.

Washington's tax increase is a massive taxpayer ripoff. So is the huge spending increase in Beaufort County that will cause us a tax increase next year. Donald Sadler and Frankie Waters are two peas in a tax and spend pod.
