vetoes bill to end sanctuary counties in NC

ENCNow

Leftwing governor Roy Cooper took action to protect illegal aliens who commit serious crimes in North Carolina from deportation.  Cooper vetoed legislation passed by the General Assembly that would have required all North Carolina sheriffs to inform ICE of all illegal aliens in their custody for serious crimes.  While most NC sheriffs do that anyway, there are a number of leftwing Democrat sheriffs, particularly in large counties who refuse.  This legislation was designed to bring those "sanctuary county" sheriffs into line.
