The closure of schools for the Covid pandemic was unnecessary as students were in an age group where the virus had low impact.  European schools reopened very quickly with no negative impact, while many US schools stayed closed as teachers unions demanded.  Now Real Clear Education has put out an interesting article on the seven major impacts of school closures in the US.
