Race for Conservative prime minister narrowed to two | Eastern NC Now

globalist Sunak against born-again Conservative Truss

ENCNow

With small "c" Conservative Kemi Badenoch and opportunist Penny Mordaunt, who tried to walk back her earlier support of gender bender ideology, eliminated in votes by Conservative members of Parliament, the choice is now up to postal votes of 160,000 dues paid party members between the two finalists.  Former Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak, a globalist and fan of both the WEF and the PRC, faces former Foreign Secretary LIz Truss, a former activist of the left-of-center Liberal Democrat Party who once advocated abolition of the monarchy, but who in recent years has become a born again conservative, now advocating tax cuts, "defending our country, history, and values", and making the UK "an aspirational nation".  Truss has had the support of the Europe Research Group (ERG), the pro-Brexit caucus of Conservative members of parliament.  She says one of her first acts as prime minister would be to push through major tax cuts.  Truss is trying hard to portray herself as the second coming of Margaret Thatcher.

Every poll of Conservative Party members has shown all four of the other finalists beating Sunak once the vote goes to party members.
