Mrs. Rebecca Louise Whitaker Miller | Eastern NC Now

   Mrs. Rebecca Louise Whitaker Miller, age 66, a resident of Hudnell St., Washington, NC, died Friday, December 7, 2012 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

   A graveside celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Covenant Community Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. James Leroy Sanders and Rev. Proctor Marshall. She will lie in state Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations, 4500 Hwy 264 E., Washington, NC.

   Becky was born in Beaufort County on June 1, 1946 daughter of John Wallace and Martha Albritton Whitaker. She was a health care worker with Ridgewood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Becky had also worked at Port North Villa Rest Home and Hamilton Beach. She was a member of Chocowinity Church of God and a former member of Covenant Community Church.

   She is survived by her son, James Wallace Miller of Washington State; her sister, Erma Marie Whitaker of Washington and her brother, James Robert Clark of Rhode Island.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Joann Ward and Nancy Lee Cox. The family requests that memorials be made to Chocowinity Church of God, 154 Ballard St., Chocowinity, NC 27817.
