Bill Cook sworn in as Senator for District 1 | Eastern NC Now

Bill Cook was sworn in as the new Senator from the First District Sunday night in the Beaufort County Superior Courtroom before a large crowd of hometown supporters as well as those from other counties in the district.

    Bill Cook was sworn in as the new Senator from the First District Sunday night in the Beaufort County Superior Courtroom before a large crowd of hometown supporters as well as those from other counties in the district. North Carolina's newly install Lt. Governor Dan Forest attended and gave brief congratulatory remarks as did Supreme Court Justice Mark Martin.

    The keynote address was delivered by Supreme Court Justice Paul Newby, who gave an inspiring presentation on the uniqueness of American government. He then administered the oath of office to Cook. You can watch the proceedings in the video clips below.
