‘Advocating’ ‘Depression, Unhappiness’: Candace Owens Takes On Lizzo, Her Fans, And The ‘Fat Acceptance’ Movement | Eastern NC Now

"Lizzo, your fans hate you, they're obviously advocating for you to die, you just can't see it because they're cheering you on as you kill yourself."

Daily Wire host Candace Owens slammed singer Lizzo, her fans, and the so-called fat acceptance movement for "advocating" "depression" and "unhappiness."

Lizzo has routinely promoted her fatness and even once seemed to clarify her dedication to the fat acceptance movement after she was hit with backlash for going on a 10-day health detox, apparently countersigning the movement.

"What she's advocating for, really, is depression, unhappiness," Owens told host Brett Cooper on The Daily Wire's "Comments Section." "Eating Oreos ... and drinking Cokes all day is not going to make you a happy individual."

"I feel like people should know that, because that's what Hollywood does: they advocate lies that actually harm individuals," the 33-year-old mother-of-two added.

"There is no way that somebody that is that size is happy, and I want to make that abundantly clear," Owens asserted. "She may have all the things that she has, and she may have access to private jets, and she may be smiling in these commercials, and have a fat bank account ... but at the end of the day, you cannot carry that much weight on you and wake up and be happy every day."

Cooper and Owens agreed that Lizzo, real name Melissa Viviane Jefferson, is talented and has a "bubbly" personality, but has unfortunately become a "symbol for overindulgence."

"I love food, I love being fat, I love to be fat in front of my private plane and be half naked - and if you don't like it, it's because you're problematic and not me," Owens mocked.

The BLEXIT founder also slammed the "Good As Hell" singer's fans for cheering what Owens suggested was Lizzo's inevitable demise.

"Lizzo, your fans hate you," Owens said, "they're obviously advocating for you to die, you just can't see it because they're cheering you on as you kill yourself."

"Your music is great, but also your fans want you to die," the "Candace" host added.

"I'm not shaming fat people who want to be better," Owens emphasized. "I am shaming fat people who are pretending that fat is a good way of living. It's a lie. It's just a lie."

The politico noted that her father, who's "struggled with obesity his entire life," recently lost 80 pounds. "He's just so happy," she said.

"He had a wake-up call when he got really sick from COVID, because obesity impacts everything," she said.
