IA adopts gun rights amendment but OR votes for gun control | Eastern NC Now

2 OR sheriffs so far say they will not enforce OR gun control

ENCNow

Iowas voters adopted a state Constitutional Amendment guaranteeing the right to keep and bear arms by a 65% to 35% margin.  It was one of only six states not to have such a provision in their state Constitution.

Oregon however, appears to have passed by a small margin of less than 1% a strict gun control measure.  With over a quarter of the votes not yet counted, this may still be defeated.  Already two sheriffs have taken to social media to announce that if it passes, they will not enforce it as it violates the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution.

That is just another reason why it is good that Beaufort County elected a Constitutional sheriff last Tuesday.
