Seminar offered on the Affordable Care Act | Eastern NC Now

    The Affordable Care Act likely presents many questions for business owners throughout the region. To help them understand how their businesses will be affected in the coming months, Business and Industry Services at Beaufort County Community College will offer a seminar 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 5 to help answer some of these questions. The seminar will be 6 to 9 p.m. in Room 828 of Building 8 on the BCCC campus.

    Instructor Keith Kidwell, a local accounting professional, will answer questions and give participants a better understanding of the new laws.

    Among the topics to be discussed are how the law will affect individuals and small business, change health savings and flexible spending accounts, affect coverage for children under 27 years old and change employer reporting on tax forms, among other topics.

    Attendance is free of charge but pre-registration is recommended in order to reserve seating and to allow the college to adequately prepare materials.
