News Release:

Megan Price, Public Health Education Specialist with the Beaufort County Health Department, recently presented two programs for Bath Elementary students in Kindergarten-3rd grade. The program entitled "My Plate Project" focused on healthy eating, and learning how to create a healthy, nutritious meal using the colorful-sectioned plate. Each student received a special plate to take home.

A DVD highlighting the goals and objectives of the "My Plate Project" was donated to the school's Media Center. This presentation was co-sponsored by the Beaufort County Health Department and a grant from Vidant Health Care.

Megan Price, Beaufort Co. Health Dept. Health Education Specialist, is seen with Sharon Morris' 3rd graders, one of the classes who participated in the special health awareness program.
