Conservative demands on McCarthy include stop meddling in primaries UPDATE

A group of House conservatives are opposing the election of RINO Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker unless he makes concessions to see that conservative legislation is allowed on the floor for votes, committee slots fairly distributed, and McCarthy stop meddling against conservatives in GOP Congressional primaries. One of those standing up against McCarthy is NC's Congressman Dan Bishop.

One of the many district primaries McCarthy meddled in during the last election cycle was the neighboring First District of NC, which had been considered a GOP pick up opportunity. Instead McCarthy dumped well into six figures backing ultra-RINO Sandy Roberson for the seat. McCarthy's PAC money paid for a avalanche of attack ads going visiously after conservative, Trump-endorsed Sandy Smith's personal life. The Democrats just continued McCarthy's smears in the general election. It is things like this that make McCarthy absolute poison to many conservatives.

UPDATE: McCarthy's PAC has agreed to not spend in safe open seat primaries. They need to stay out of ALL primaries, including their backing squishy incumbents like they did in Mississippi last year. They also need to stay out of pick up opportunity seats like the 1st district last year.

Trump's support of McCarthy is a support of one of the worst swamp creatures. That does it. I am in the deSantis camp solidly now for '24..

Some other issues with MCarthy that he is not willing to allow to come to the floor are, term limits, fix the rules to stop the fast tracking of legislation so it cannot be thoroughly examined and fair committee appointments. McCarthy is a fellow traveler with Mith McConnel.

I hope the twenty hold out until they get what thy want.

Even Fox News Hannity and Ingram treated guests badly if they did not support McCarthy.

Hold your nose and vote Republican only supports RINOs.

The twenty are heroes.

One thing that is also needed is to reinstate the Hastert Rule, used by the last half decent GOP House leader, Denny Hastert. That said that nothing was put on the floor for a vote unless a majority of the GOP caucus agreed, and anything that a majority of the caucus wanted to go to the floor did so. That rule is also very badly needed in the NC General Assembly.

In meddling in primaries, it is not just the 1st District in eastern NC where McCarthy has meddled, but also our own 3rd District, when it became vacant after Walter Jones death. We keep to get the Washington, DC saamp OUT of our local primaries. McConnell is also horrible on that one.

If McCarthy will come to Jesus on some of the key issues, then maybe they can settle on him, but I would rather see someone more trustworthy and without his baggage.

Watch the surrender monkeys on this one. The press is trying to discredit the 19 or 20 House members who have McCarthy on hold. The 19 or 20 are heroes.

The issue us getting the rules changed so members o Congress have time to read legislation and an opportunity to stop bad bills.

An excellent example of bad bills is the 1.7 trillion dollar budget bill that RINO Mitch McConnel just got passed with the House having only three days to digest over 4,000 pages.

The issue is that McCarthy has refused to support changing the rules to stop cram down legislation.

Thank God for the brave 20 or 19.
