Florida Governor Ron deSantis is calling for a ban on Chinese investors being able to buy real estate in his state, calling China "a hostile nation".
Several western states are also pushing similar bans on China buying US real estate, particularly farm land. Canada has banned Chinese and Indian investors from buying residential property as it was driving up home prices for Canadians.
