It’s time to celebrate National School Choice Week (NSCW). As usual, North Carolina has numerous events to commemorate a parents’ right to choose the best educational option for their children; 867 events to be exact, according to the good folks at NSCW.

    It's time to celebrate National School Choice Week (NSCW). As usual, North Carolina has numerous events to commemorate a parents' right to choose the best educational option for their children; 867 events to be exact, according to the good folks at NSCW.

    We'd like to extend an invitation to join us at one of those events. On Thursday, January 26th a National School Choice Week luncheon will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Raleigh. The event will include parent testimonies, brief remarks from Superintendent Catherine Truitt, results from the annual Civitas School Choice Poll, a legislative panel as well as musical entertainment. The event is sponsored by Black Led Schools of Choice, CarolinaCan, EdChoice, John Locke Foundation, National School Choice Week, North Carolinians for Home Education and Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina.
